Dr. Welch is an International Preacher, Teacher and Entrepreneur. She has conducted leadership, entrepreneurship, youth and women's seminars in both the US and abroad. She is the author of “Moving Out From The Pew: Equipping the Saints for the Work of Ministry, A Training Manual for Lay Leaders (Westbow Press/Thomas Nelson).
Dr. Welch is the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Emmanuel Christian Institute, Inc., located in Reston, VA and Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. And, she is the Founder and President of Connie Welch Ministries, Inc. Previously, Dr. Welch served as the Dean of Women and Professor of Homiletics, Theology, and Biblical Interpretation at Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge).
Dr. Welch earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Virginia State University, her Master of Divinity Degree (Cum Laude) and her Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. She served 21 years in the Federal government, 17 of which she was employed at the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency as a Chemist, Product Manager and Branch Chief. She left the Agency to serve as a Global Regulatory Consultant for ChemReg International, LLC, before establishing her own environmental management and consulting firm Connie Welch and Associates.
Dr. Welch is the former Host and Executive Producer of the television show "Life with Connie", where she and her guests discussed the religious, socio-economic, and international issues facing our world today.
Dr. Welch has a heart for lost souls and to see God's people set free. She especially has a heart for victims of abuse and addiction. She continually gives thanks and praise to God for her healing and deliverance (she is a breast cancer Conqueror through Him!!!) as she openly shares her testimony of going from sickness, abuse, pain and suffering to living victoriously through Jesus Christ. From Victim to Victor!!!
She is the proud of mom of Justin and Jason Welch, and her daughter (-in-law) Ariel. She lives in Northern Virginia with her adorable, compassionate pit bull, Gracie.
